Hi guys! I thought I'd take the time today to introduce you to my best friend, Lillian. She is a wonderful girl who is always there for me and she is also as stunningly beautiful as a girl can get. We've been best friends since kindergarten and she has always been my go-to gal for a fun time! The best part: she never says no to a photoshoot! Here are a few photographs I took of her last weekend.
And if you haven't already seen my video of her, check it out here!

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share this post with you because I have been working on it for so long! Okay, so you should already be aware (if you are a regular reader) that I love photography! And, if you have been keeping up lately (with posts such as Polaroid Project and Polaroid Preview) , you would also know that I recently expressed my interest to the kind folks working behind The Impossible Project that are trying to fully revive Polaroid instant cameras. These folks thought that me sharing my prints on Sophie Says was a great idea and sent me film to play around with! Here are a few of my insant pictures as well as a story to go along with them: What I love the most about The Impossible Project is its accessibility. Right from the main website there is a link to a gallery of photographs where you can be inspired by other photo junkies and a link to the shop where you can buy any of a variety of Polaroid cameras and as much Impossible film as your heart desires! Disclaimer: if you are anything like me, this website may never leave the open tabs on your phone or computer! I have been reading about this project since around May of last year (and suggest that you should, too!) and have completely fallen in love with this team of photographers and their strive to save one of the most popular types of photography ever. The determination of these people and their care for Polaroid really speaks with how much progress they've made over the past few years. Since my Impossible Film arrived in the mail, I have taken my Polaroid camera everywhere I have gone because, although my Polaroid camera is probably my most bulky camera, Polaroid photographs have always been about catching life in the moment and having instantaneous results. I think I have been having way too much fun with these instant little beauties! P.S. I have plenty more fun instant pictures to share! Stay tuned to see little snapshots of my life!
Sunday is a day to relax. I know a lot of us lead busy lives and tend to use Sunday as a work day, but sometimes just taking a metal break can be healthy. I like to watch movies on Sundays, and to inspire you to take a relaxation day, I'd like to suggest a few of my favorites.
My eldest sister, Emily, first recommended the movie "Donnie Darko" to me when I was in eighth grade. This movie has a lot to do with time travel and psychology. It tends to be confusing at first, but all great movies are. Richard Kelly wrote and directed this film, and the two main actors are Jake Gyllenhaal and Jena Malone.
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is about a man who finds out his ex girlfriend had a surgery done so that she would forget him and he then he wants the same done to him. This movie is one of Jim Carrey's only serious roles and I think he nails it. His ex girlfriend is played by Kate Winslet who gives the film a quirky spin. This film was directed and partly written by Michel Gondry.
"Fight Club" is another great cinematic work and when my boyfriend made me watch this movie a few years ago, I was skeptical at first because I thought it would only be violence and that I wouldn't like it. Granted, there is a lot of violence in this movie, but it's more than that. Give it a try and you won't regret it. Plus, who doesn't love Brad Pitt? Edward Norton and Helena Boham Carter are also principle characters in the film. This movie was directed by David Fincher and written by Chuck Palahniuk and Jim Uhls.
Hello! Happy Thursday! Over the past few days, I have been crafting some valentines to send to my sweetheart at college. I saw a bunch of cute DIY ideas on the Free People blog and decided to try them out myself! Check out their blog for more inspiration. Here are some sneak peaks of mine!
