There is an INSANE Free City sale going on right now at http://freecitysupershop.com/#shop! Everything is up to 75% off! Now, I know that Free City is a smaller business, but you have got to know what's up about them! A new friend of mine told me about the crazy sale going on right now and how she simply cannot get enough of the sweats that they sell, so I did a little research to figure out a bit more about Free City. I happened upon a blog called The Sche Report where the writer, Margaret, did a fantastic review of the shop telling me everything I was looking for about the "brand." I strongly encourage reading up about this business and looking into the sale! Happy shopping!

BID DAY WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I accepted my bid for the Syracuse University chapter of Delta Delta Delta and I honestly could not be happier with my choice! The day was a whirlwind, so I don't have much to say about it, except that I feel so blessed to be a part of a pledge class of so many beautiful, endearing girls that I now get to call my sisters!
Boy oh boy is this now all a blur to me. The second weekend of sorority recruitment went just as fast, if not even faster than the first! All of the upperclassmen girls said that the week of classes in between the two weekends of rush would be the longest week of my life, but due to the level of exhaustion that I was on, I mostly slept through every hour that I wasn't in class for. The Saturday of the second weekend of rush was House Tours round, for which we revisit a maximum of six chapter houses and were told to dress in business casual attire. The morning of this round, I was hurrying to put myself together and I did not have any time to take pictures of my outfit (I do apologize). But, to sum up my outfit, I was wearing a black, loose tee shirt under a black DKNY blazer that has a thick layer of leather at the bottom, gold (yes, metallic gold) skinny pants, and black suede BCBG pointed-toe heels. I wore my hair straight with a lot of gold jewelry. The next day, Sunday, was preference round which is the most formal of all the days. On this day, you only revisit your top three choice houses and have an hour long "interview" with one girl in the house. This day is a big deal because it is the last impression you get of every house before you rank your top three houses in the order that you like them the best. I took a few pictures with friends this day so that you guys could see my dress. Cheers!
Yay yay yay yay yay! This is what I have been waiting for all year! It's finally that time: RUSH! At Syracuse University, PNMs go through five rounds of recruitment, and this past weekend I survived the first two rounds. Day one, Saturday, was Kick Off. On this day we visited all 12 chapter houses with our assigned rush groups. The next day, round two, was Philanthropy round. On this day, PNMs could return to a maximum of nine chapter houses depending on where they got invited back. Syracuse didn't surprise anyone this weekend with the massive blizzard that it received. They call it the curse of rush here because there has never been a successful two-weekend period of recruitment without a snowstorm. We aren't permitted to have our cell phones during the rounds of recruitment, so I could only capture two quick pictures for you, a shot of the Hall of Languages, the building in which I meet with my rush group at the start and finish of every day, and a casual selfie of me all bundled up in the snow. Many if you have been requesting to see the outfits that I wore during the process, so here they are! On the first day, we were given a tee shirt and were told to dress it up to show our individuality. I wore mine with two long necklaces, a black fur vest, skinny jeans, and fur boots (very appropriate for the weather conditions). On the second day, we were told to wear out "favorite outfit." I wore a navy blue glittery sweater, black paisley jeggings, leather Chanel loafers, and a bunch of jewelry. Three pieces of my jewelry meant a lot to me and kept me sane during the hectic non-stop 20 minute girl-flirting sessions all day long: my watch, my bracelet, and my rings. The watch was given to me to borrow from my oldest sister, Emily. She said it would keep me on time to each house and bring me good luck inside of them. The "fearless" bracelet was a Christmas gift from my other sister, Bella. I thought it was a good Thing to wear to remind me not to get caught up in all of the rumors and drama that go along with sorority rush. The set of Bendels rings was a set that I borrowed from my momma almost every single day over Christmas break and she told me that if the rings made me feel pretty and confident, then I should wear them during recruitment. By this time next week, I'll have gotten my bid and know which sorority I am going to join! Wish me luck I'M SO EXCITED! |
