Sometimes, we have to face reality, and that time always comes when we need it most. Since I have been at college, I have been going, going, going, nonstop. I have been studying like a madman, going out with new friends, and I have barely had a second of down time since I got here in August. Last week, I was so stressed and tired from volunteering at a 24 hour long convention and having to pick up slack on a group project when my momma called me to inform me that my 13 year old puppy had passed away. This news was a shock to me and I hit my breaking point. I love my dog, Peanut, more than anything else in the world, and it was so hard to receive that kind of news when I had been trapped in a bubble for so long. Peanut was always such a perfect doggie and my entire family loved him so dearly. He's the only puppy I've ever known to learn how to pose for a picture before becoming potty trained! He was golden. Because this news hit everyone in my family so hard (my mother especially, who called Peanut her personal shadow), my momma knew she had to do something about it. She began shopping online to see if she could find any Yorkie-Chihuahua breeders (the breed Peanut was) with no real intentions of getting a new puppy so quickly, but when she saw a picture of little baby Ginny's face, she fell in love and drove 8 hours the following day to pick up our new little munchkin. My sisters and I have not met our new darling yet, but we are going home for Thanksgiving break this Friday and cannot wait! She's already a little model and is very loved by her older sister, Sadie! She is a baby silver puppy.
